Indoor training giant Zwift has announced that it is increasing prices for access to its virtual cycling world. This increase comes after seven years of fixed pricing since the last increase in 2017.
The news comes a week after the brand announced a roll-out of new features on the platform including a new climb in Watopia and upgrades to its third-party training integration.
Regarding the new prices, a message from the company to all users and the media said: “Despite rising inflationary pressure, we’ve worked hard to keep our prices locked since 2017. Your subscription fee has allowed us to develop the platform and enhance your experience on Zwift. We’re proud of all the additional platform benefits introduced since 2017 that Zwifters now enjoy daily. From Group Workouts and Flexible Training Plans to some of our newest features, like the always-on group rides with Robo Pacers, or the the Climb Portal that transports you to iconic climbs from the world over. Now available to enjoy on ten worlds and two event-only maps, Zwifting has never been better.”
“The best is yet to come! This change will allow us to continue our commitment to bringing you even more product benefits, new features, and content experiences in the months and years to come," Zwift also said.
Until this price increase, Zwift had charged £12.99 / €14.99 / $14.99 per month or £129.99 / $149.99 / €149.99 annually.
The increase now puts this figure at £17.99 / €19.99 / $19.99 per month or £179.99 / €199.99 / $199.99 annually.
The new pricing is already in effect for any new members looking to sign up for access to Zwift with the increase rolling out to everyone by the soonest billing date after 6 June. If you have currently paused your subscription the new pricing will take effect as soon as you reactivate your account.
