Three-time German national champion Liane Lippert is one of Movistar's big hopes for success in their post-Annemiek van Vleuten era. A good climber with a punchy kick, Lippert has previously done well on medium climbing days and the hillier Classics, and this year took a stage victory at the Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift on an uphill drag to the line.

The 25-year-old took her first WorldTour win in 2020 at the Cadel Evans Great Ocean Road Race. She has since achieved podiums in the Ardennes, top-5 overall finishes in races like the Tour of Scandinavia and the Ceratizit Challenge by La Vuelta, and a one-day victory in 2023 at Tre Valli Varesine.

In 2023, Lippert moved from DSM to Movistar to be part of Annemiek van Vleuten’s support squad in her final season, and in 2024 will likely step into a leadership role herself. Though not a pure climber, Lippert is a strong all-round rider, who can compete in one-day races but may also take her chances in stage races this year, with the help of Movistar's strong climbing squad.
