SRAM-owned Time has released its refreshed range of XPro road pedals at Sea Otter.

Headlining the new line-up is the range-topping XPro 12 SL, which the brand claims is the "lightest road pedal on the market". It is joined by the revamped Xpro 10 and 12 models.

The flagship Xpro 12 SL road pedals are said to weigh 87 grams per pedal with a total system weight of 259 grams, including cleats. The reduction in weight has been achieved through the use of hollow titanium axles, ceramic bearings and a carbon-injected composite pedal body.

Time offers all of the pedals in the revamped XPro range in three axle lengths, allowing riders to dial in their preferred fit, with the narrowest width claiming to increase aerodynamics by bringing the legs closer to the frame, which in turn reduces the rider and bike's total frontal area. The pedals themselves have also received the aero treatment with the underside of the pedal featuring a smooth aero profile.

The XPro 12 SL are some of the most premium and most expensive pedals on the market with a retail price of £440/$440/€490. At 273 grams for a total system, the standard XPro 12 pedals that use steel bearings and a solid titanium axle represent a cheaper alternative with little in regards to weight penalty, retailing for £305/$305/€340.

At the entry point to the XPro range is the XPro 10. These use a hollow steel axle to further reduce costs without significantly increasing the pedal's weight. The body of the XPro 10 remains the same as the higher-spec models, using the same carbon-injected composite with stainless steel plates. At 310 grams for a total system, including cleats, the XPro 10 pedals are around 50 grams heavier than the range-topping XPro 12 SL.

The XPro 10 pedals retail for £160/$160/€180.
